The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) appoints Glenn Murphy ACSI as the new head of CISI’s Wealth Management Forum Committee. Glenn takes over from Hamish Warnock ACSI, who has chaired the committee since 2020.

The Wealth Management Forum Committee comprises a group of senior practitioners who discuss market activity and organise events to share insights about sector developments.

Glenn, (left) a C-suite consultant to the wealth management community, has over 20 years of experience in wealth and investment management. He was formerly chief operating officer at Stonehage Fleming and Multrees and has held leadership roles at Schroders and Rathbones. He is also a member of the CISI Fintech Forum Committee.

Since joining the Institute in 2018, Glenn has actively hosted webinars and spoken at wealth management sessions. He is keen to grow the professional forum membership to drive more robust engagement in the CISI through regular activities and thought leadership events.

On his appointment, Glenn said: “I am delighted to take on a leading role in the CISI and to continue driving engagement and inclusivity. The Institute passionately engages with the wealth management community, and I look forward to playing a key role in enhancing the value it brings to our members, primarily through new and exciting initiatives and focusing on the impact of AI in wealth management.

“The CISI has a bright and enduring future in the UK and internationally. I am keen to ensure we involve more members from across our network locally and abroad to add value to the new wealth management opportunities available globally.”

Tracy Vegro, CISI chief executive, said: “Our congratulations to Glenn on his new role as chair of this important committee. He brings a wide breadth of experience, and I know the committee will continue to thrive and excel under his leadership. I would also like to thank Hamish for his dedication and outstanding service as chair of the committee over the past three years.”
