The CISI’s annual Paraplanner Conference this year is 19/20 May and the Institute is asking the paraplanner community to book their tickets.

The online event will open on the afternoon of 19 May and continue the morning of 20 May, with 15 exciting sessions planned over the two days.  The Conference theme is ‘Managing the Mix’, which recognises the critical, behind-the-scenes role of the paraplanner in refining the financial planning process. Tickets are free for CISI members, and will cost £99 per person for non-members, you can visit cisi.org/PP21 to book.

Confirmed #paraplanning21 opening speakers are Mark Goold, Senior Associate, Financial Conduct Authority with an opportunity to put your questions to the regulator, and Chartered paraplanner Pippa Oldfield, winner of the CISI Paraplanner of the Year Award 2020.

A stream session on Excel will be hosted by Judith Rowe, Microsoft Office trainer, having run a stand-out session last year, along with an ethics session featuring real-life dilemmas by the CISI’s Professional Standards and Ethics Manager, Amrita Bhogal.

Over 200 attended CISI’s first online Paraplanner conference in 2020, booking from 26 countries including United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Cyprus, Switzerland and India. We are also thrilled to welcome Just back as a lead sponsor for 2021.

Ninety nine per cent of those who came to last year’s conference recommend the event, and comments from attendees include: I was really impressed and think it will be tough to beat!”, “This was both my first CISI conference and fully online conference and I was surprised at how slick, technical & enjoyable it was., “It gave a real sense of why I was on the event, but also a great sense of belonging to a community”.

Sally Plant, CISI Head of Financial Planning said: “I’m so looking forward to meeting our fantastic community of paraplanners at this year’s #paraplanning21 conference. Our artwork for the conference features the soundboard used in music to obtain the perfect mix.  It represents the breadth of considerations, the detail and understanding of the clients’ needs and goals that a paraplanner has to pull together accurately. The feedback from last years’ conference demonstrates what a must go-to event this is for the paraplanning profession.”

Paraplanners are welcome to book their tickets now on cisi.org/PP21, and the full #paraplanning21 programme will be unveiled shortly.
