The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) is delighted to announce the appointment of Dan Atkinson, APP Chartered MCSI as Chairman of the CISI Paraplanner Interest Group.
The CISI Paraplanner Interest Group is open to all CISI members and non-CISI members who have a drive and passion for the profession of paraplanning. The Interest Group runs events over the year, with its practitioner committee playing a key role in the organising of the CISI annual Paraplanner Conference.
Dan is Head of Technical at EQ Investors and has been a CISI Interest Group member for four years. He takes over the role of Chair from Farida Hassanali, CFPTM Chartered FCSI.
He has achieved several professional awards, including Money Marketing Best Paraplanner 2017, Professional Paraplanner Personality of the Year 2017, and the IFP Paraplanner of the year award 2014. A regular contributor to the financial planning trade press, Dan recently passed with distinction the CISI Level 6 Certificate in Advanced Financial Planning. Outside of work he is a deacon with his local church and married with a young daughter.

The CISI has 11 professional forums which include the practitioner areas of: Bond, Compliance, Corporate Finance, Financial Planning, Fintech, International Regulation, Operations, Risk, Wealth Management, Paraplanner and Training, Competence and Culture.
